Yes, we were high school sweethearts! I've actually known who he was since we were 5 years old! In the fifth grade I changed schools, and there he was again! When we were 15 he told me he was going to marry me one day. I laughed really hard! Next thing I know we're dating...even after he had to eat his words of, 'I'll never date a redhead!'
Right after graduation Storm left for rookie ball in Bluefield WV with the Baltimore Orioles! I didn't know how much you could miss someone until these baseball years began. His next stop was 1A ball in Miami, FL. Five days after the season ended we were married! September 6, 1980!
Our first assignment as a married couple was 2A ball in Charlotte, NC!! I had a lot to adjust to that year!! The next spring we hopped in the truck and rode to Rochester, NY for AAA ball! It was so cold for these FL kids!! We spent three weeks in AAA and then Storm was called up to the big leagues with the Baltimore Orioles! We were 20!

We were blessed to spend 13 years in MLB with 5 teams and many great memories and friends. Storm was honored to be part of 2 WSChampionships and 1 ALChampionship. We had 3 precious babes during those years. Zachary Storm (1985/Baltimore) ; Caleb Michael (1988/Jacksonville); Erin Angeline (1989/Oakland).
Storm retired in 1994. During the retirement years we stayed involved with our kids. While in their high school years , God grew our family, & we had the honor of becoming guardians to Stephanie and Justin.
The kids are all grown now. My how time flies! All are married and most are busy making us grandparents! We love having GRANDBABES! 💗
After the nudging of our firstborn Zach..encouraging his Dad to rise to his skill set, we have returned to baseball! Storm returned to coaching with MiLB as a Pitching Coach. We are thankful for this new time in our lives. We are enjoying our adventure and challenges together!...most days! I can't think of anyone else I'd rather be doing this journey with!!
God is good!❣
